This daring art form requires great skill
and deep focus as the fire is almost
magically drawn across the body and placed into
the mouth. Fire eating and
painting will bring you closer to the element
than ever before, dissolving fear and
doubt, and creating complete confidence and awareness.
In
this workshop you'll
learn how to eat fire, tunnel (blow a flame out
of your mouth) and transfer the
flame from various body parts. This workshop is
perfect for performers who'd like to add a little
something to their repertoire. It's also great
for people who are ready to conquer their fear
of the flame.

Fire Fans Workshop
Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

All levels welcome!
Fans are one of the safest yet most graceful forms
of fire dancing. They allow the freedom to incorporate
many different styles of dance and creative expression
into a performance. Styles range from simple and
sensual to a more complex martial arts technique.
They are absolutely mesmerizing to watch and so
much fun to perform with. This workshop will cover
body and fan movement, fan spinning, performance,
and choreography.
FIRE FANS:
You will need to bring, borrow or purchase a pair
of fire fans for this workshop. If you would like
to purchase a pair, please
visit this link, choose the style you'd like
then e-mail
us and let us know your choice. Please click on
the fan style to check out what options you have
(black vs. chrome). If you are purchasing fans,
you'll need to pay the $75 Fan Deposit. The remaining
balance will be due in class. Note, the prices
on the website do not include taxes.
Once
we have everybody's fan orders, we will pick them
up and bring them to the workshop on Tuesday so
that you won't need to pay for shipping. We need
everybody's orders no later than Wednesday, Feb
25th.
Choosing
Your Fans....
If you are interested in spinning your fans, you'll
want to choose a set of the smaller, lightweight
fans such as the Blade Fire Fans or the
Khaos Fire Fans. If you are new to fire
dancing, we reccomend puraching a set of smaller
flame fans such as the Khaos, Poison, or
Taboo Fans.
